What would one look for in a dedicated SB Server to help alleviate any taxation that would occur in processing (e.g. RAM, CPU, Both, Something Else)? What is a good standard system requirement needed? In my case, I'm in the process of deciding what to use as a dedicated Squeezebox server with what I have available now (e.g. don't want to purchase anything at the time). Currently, I have SB server on a iBook G4 1.33 GHz Power PC processor with 1.25 GB of memory. I use this computer for everything - so is not solely dedicated as a music server - but the goal is to have 1 computer as a dedicated SB Server. I have my music files stored on a external Drobo, which is connected to computer via FW. I have access to 2 other macs, that I could utilize as a dedicated music server that I could install SB Server on. One is a iBook G4 with 800 MHz Power PC processor and 1.2 GB of memory or a mac mini with 1.25 GHz and 1 GB of memory. On all 3 macs I have reached the maximum amount of memory I can install. Which of these last two options be the best choice?
