winamp and WMP add composer by default. winamp just lost its connection to gracenote this past month, and currently has no lookup until the next ver comes out which will use MB, but I don't consider adding composer at all unusual by big apps, be they ripping or auto-tagging. I'm not sure I follow what u mean, but maybe it will become clear when I test it, but this sounds like why Phil (and I) have been saying that compilation status should not be looked at when creating artist results sets for any list, (other than a Home > Comps one obviously).
