Question: On what player types does the alarm fail for you?

- Squeezebox Radio (official firmware 7.x)
- Squeezebox Radio (community firmware 8.x)
- Squeezebox Touch (official firmware 7.x)
- Squeezebox Touch (community firmware 8.x)
- SB Classic/Boom/Receiver/Transporter
- Other (eg. Raspberry Pi based)

I've only just spotted this thread and voted (Radio / Community
firmware), but thought I'd clarify - I've only had two failures, one a
few months back which I wrote off as "One of those things", and one on
Saturday morning not long after I had applied the latest firmware update
(I think that was on Friday). I deleted the alarm and re-created it, and
it worked OK this morning.

One slight oddity which might or might not mean something - the alarm is
set to a Favourite, namely BBC World Service. When I spotted that the
alarm had failed, I pressed the pre-set button on the radio which I have
allocated to WS. It faded in, as if it had come on in response to the
alarm rather than a button press. However, when the radio comes on in
response to an alarm the display shows a digital clock - on this
occasion it showed the station artwork, which is what I would expect to
see from a button-press.

The radio has a battery but is on mains power, and is connected by
Ethernet. Alarms have worked reliably for years, I don't ever recall a
failure apart from these two events.
