That's exactly the kind of output I wanted to see. It seems that for whatever reason the request's source now is overwritten or something. Now I've got something to look for.
Are you using the Material skin? This looks like a Cometd client. And indeed, after re-viewing all differences from 8.2 to 8.3 I boiled things down to about 800 lines (out of 13k) of changes which I'm not sure whether they could have had an impact on the alarm. And the Cometd handler is in there. But I would not have seen it modify the source. But anyway: this snippet will hopefully very helpful in that I now understand that the issue is caused by some request which is not from where we thought it should come from.
