Question: On what player types does the alarm fail for you?

In tonights series of tests I've been trying to replicate elements of my
usual daily Squeezebox routine...
This failure occurred on the 21:30 alarm.
I let the 21:15 alarm play for its configured 5 minutes and shut off
without intervention.
I then changed Player in Material from the alarm test player (Spare
Radio 2) to my Lounge Player and pressed play to resume the Lounge
playlist. I then clicked on Information and then closed (return)
Information and left Material monitor the Lounge player.
This is pretty common use for me, I normally listen to the Lounge player
and often check info to see what plugins require updates.
It was the usual Alarm failure on the SB Radio - no change to clock
screensaver and no stream or fallback alarm sounds.
Without any further changes or intervention the 21:45 alarm has just
successfully triggered.
Here's the debug (I've changed the mac address - but it was the correct
address for "Spare Radio 2":
