Hello Akalpita, Yogi, Sheel, Adarsh and all the valuable Members !

I would like to propose a plan to contribute in providing employment to the
youth of our country.

Before giving you the outlines, I would like to introduce about myself and my
profession in brief as it will help you to understand plan practically.

1. About me -
I am a business man situated at Panchkula (Haryana). I am providing services in
print, publishing and designing.

2. Profession -
I run my business in a rented commercial accommodation. In my business all jobs
of printing is undertaken including visiting cards, marriage cards, invitation
cards, leaflets, booklets, magazines, and brochures. I have all the machinery
needed to run my business in a systematic manner.

3. Clientele -
I have a good clientele like Schools, Hotels, Private Business Houses (Medicine
Shops, Boutiques, Doctors, Private Clinics, and many more). My prominent client
is a Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.

4. Manpower -
Right now I have engaged 4 employees –
• 1 Printing machine operator (Operates Offset Printing Machine - Prints
leaflets, bill books, challan books, magazines etc)
• 1 Screen Printer (Prints Visiting Cards, marriage cards etc.)
• 1 Binder (Binds the bill books, stitches the magazines etc), 1 helper
for screen printer and machine man (Got trained in both screen and offset field)
• I am the DTP Operator in my business. I am responsible to design the
jobs on computers, making plates, positives, and negatives of the jobs to be
printed. So including me, we are 5 in number.

5. Salary -
Screen Printer and binder draw a salary of Rs. 3.5k, machine operator gets Rs.
4k, helper draws Rs. 2k.

6. My Earnings -
Sorry I can't disclose it. But I can say, it's a profitable business. Anyone
can earn handsome amount. My expenses per month are between Rs. 25k to 30k in
business only (This includes salaries, electricity, phone, daily refreshment
like tea/cds etc.)

NOW LETS MOVE TO MY PLAN

I am located at Panchkula. I can manage to train the unemployed youth in my
area and help them getting started with the business. If the person is not
willing in business, I can absorb him/her in my business. If it's not possible
for me to absorb, I can give 100% job guarantee as there is always a shortage
of man power in my business.

BHARAT UDAY MISSION'S ROLE

BUM can act as a certification authority having its franchises in all the
cities of India. I can play as a master franchise operator to BUM. BUM will
arrange to provide the certificates of training to candidates' undergone
training.

A BUM EMPLOYMENT GENERATION COMMITTEE will be formed to look after the
progress of its franchisees. This committee will be responsible to make tie up
with various business setups.

The committee will be in constant touch with the franchisee and the candidates
undergoing the training. An agreement shall be made and executed between BUM
and the franchisee which will contain all the terms and conditions (have to be
drafted).

The candidates will be in direct contact with the EMPLOYEMENT COMMITTEE who
will constantly watch the performance of the candidates. The franchisee will
report to such a committee periodically in a specific format. (To be drafted)

NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN FIRST PHASE -

The training can be started in two shifts. (9 am to 2 pm) and (3 Pm to 8 pm).

Four People can be trained in each shift (According to my business setup).

NOW THE QUESTION IS WETHER IT SHOULD BE FREE OR WE SHOULD CHARGE FEES?

It's true that Nothing Good is available for FREE. If it's provided free,
people don't take it seriously. (It's the tendency these days).

When we teach / train someone, we have to make a faith on him / her. We have to
give him / her chance to execute the jobs himself / herself. This is necessary
for their encouragement. In this phase, while handling live jobs, there are
chances they can spoil the job which may be got to be re-printed.

These days a normal computers institute charge around 1.5k to 2k for various
courses per month. While they do not provide practical training and the
candidates doing course from them face problems when they jump into job. Many
people come to me for the job of DTP Operator with just knowing simples
commands of coreldraw/pagemaker.

Earlier I engaged 2 DTP operators (one in 2001 he taken separate 8 months to be
fully trained, than in 2005 a girl came for job, she took a year to fully know
what is corel, pagemaker and other graphic packages. In 2007 she got married
and I decided not to train anyone while paying salary on top of it.

The person interested for the training cum employment scheme will have to pay a
monthly fee of Rs. 1500/-.

Note – This plan can be used in various other fields like Accounts & Tax
Consultancy Services, Electricians, Cutting & Tailoring, Welding, Plumbing etc.

Please provide me your views.

Regards

Raj
