Thanks! Thanks a lot for all your help, guys. I did clean up my library fields of all my entries and this helped a lot. Thanks to Simon I can even type German special characters easily now and use my voice recognition software! My document typesets and even makes footnotes and a bibliography, that looks like what I need.
I hope, now that you helped me to get started wit this, I can experiences the joys o LaTeX and never ever have to return to word.
