Those ridges on the dropouts that make you adjust the quick release every
time you remove or insert a wheel.  QRs should operate by just flipping the
lever.  But too many incompetent customers tried to use them as wing nuts,
so (to defend against product liability lawsuits) the industry started
putting the lips on.  Now you have to flip the lever plus also turn the
skewer to adjust it.  If you just flip the lever, or use it as a wingnut,
when it comes loose at least the wheel will stay in the frame.  Ironically,
the requirement to adjust the QR with every installation increases the
opportunities to get it wrong.
