Thanks for all the suggestions. Quite a few sound pretty good. One reminded me that I have a couple of rolls of leather bar tape which i purchased but found I didn't like (the edges weren't beveld and they lap felt bumpy). So I think I'll begin by judiciously wrapping the two bottles.
