This completely trashes the aesthetic, but the Topeak Modula EX
waterbottle cage is non-metal and adjustable.  Yes, there is one on my
Riv :-)  and my Lemond.  Holds my thermal waterbottle with Hot
Beverage on cold winter rides, and my coffee mug during my commute.
No rattle.
