Talk to your local REI. If you looked on the website, things that are simply out of stock generate a message that suggests they're no longer handling them ever again. With the touring bikes they usually make a single run per year & not many at that.
Two of my touring buds have the Safari & love them, especially the disc brakes, gearing, rack & trekking bars. One guy had to add an extension to get the bars up where he liked them but even the seat is decent. It's a great value for the money. Ugly color IMHO but the owners couldn't care less about that. dougP -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of DaveSunRa Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2008 9:46 AM To: Bicycle Lifestyle Subject: {BL} Re: Gunnar Fast Lane Thanks. Seems like the REI safari is no longer offered. The Surly LHT is an interesting option. Also less money at the end of the day. The Gunnar Fast Lane looks like it would be more fun to ride though. I really like the idea of disk brakes. Dave --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Bicycle Lifestyle" group.
