They don't stink. They don't make harsh noises. They aren't that much
faster than you . They mean one less car on the road. Half of them
have pedals and somebody actually might use them. What's not to
love? Don't we already have speed limits and other traffic rules on
the bike paths?
Though it's certainly not as pure a solution a people-only powered bike,
widespread use would have many of the beneficial effects on our lives
that increased bicycle use would have. Yes widespread use would mean
certain problems for cyclists, but so would widespread use of bicycles.
These are way better problems to have to deal with than to have everyone
retreat to their cars.
