just rode from my house to the willy st. asphalt-op today. much to my surprise, the east-rail corridor bike path has still not been plowed. because it is so heavily used, most of the snow is gone, but it's now ruts from footprints. I'm sure this is an oversight, as the east-rail path has always been one of the first plowed.
If it's true, as Larry suggested, that Parks is not doing overtime, it is obviously time to give this bike street plowing to some other division. my back street has been plowed at least three times today, so obviously concern to avoid OT is not the main issue. i've heard that the law park path has also still not been plowed (as of about 6 p.m.). i'm sure mayor pave will not put this oversight on his resume for getting platinum status for the city. Also, the bridge over the Yahara at Jenifer has not been plowed. This used to be Engineering's responsibility, but I think someone else does it. But it should be done promptly as it is very heavily used by both pedestrians and bicyclists. On Sat, Dec 4, 2010 at 4:45 PM, Mary Ebeling <[email protected]> wrote: > Almost forgot. E.
