I have been using a hub generator, with both head- and taillights, for a long
time. They used to be good in the halolgen era, but in the LED era now they are
great.

This is not something the LBS's around here have much info on, however. I've
bought mine from Peter White in the Boston area and been very satisfied:
http://www.peterwhitecycles.com/ He has lots of info on the site, even if you
buy elsewhere.

I have a Schmidt hub generator, with LED lights that have capacitor storage, so
they stay lit when you stop at an intersection. There are other generators (rim
and bottom bracket) and many kinds of lights. But I'm very happy with this
system and would be glad to show it off if anyone would like to see it.

Subject: [Bikies] pedal powered bike lights

Who has pedal powered bike lights (i.e. generator lights)?  Any that you
like/don't like?  I'm looking to compare price, usefulness, sustainability,
etc.
