We hope that the maintainer is still active and willing to maintain their
package; Bioconductor admin will not push for a maintainer to ensure all
packages are actively maintained. If we do not hear from the maintainer or
have an explicit request to deprecate the package from them, we can have
someone in the community volunteer to maintain the package consistent with
Bioconductors end of life policy and package naming policy that maintainers
agree to on submission; but that is only if the current maintainer does not
respond and most ideally with the current maintainers permission. Let us
see if Ge Tan responds shortly.
