Hi all,
I located a single Greater White-fronted Goose in pond 5 at the Blenheim
Sewage lagoons during the noon hour. This one appeared to have a pinkish
bill. This species has only been reported a couple of times before in the
Rondeau birding circle, so it is noteworthy.

Back at Rondeau Provincial Park, it was very quiet for birds. Steve
Charbonneau and I did locate our first male Pine Warbler of the spring on
south point trail (end of Lakeshore Rd.) (check pine trees!). I later
located a single Yellow-rumped Warbler (first for the year) behind the
maintanance yard. Large numbers of Hermit Thrushes were on the trail also.
Only a couple of Fox Sparrows were seen.
I also spotted a single Sandhill Crane flying overhead near Shrewsbury. (a
pair of this species is hanging around the marsh again this year).

Lagoon Directions: Exit 401 at #90 (Communications Rd.) and head into
Blenheim. At the main stoplight turn right (west) onto Rd. 3. Travel about
1.5 km and turn right (north) onto Lagoon Rd. at the carwash, and continue
north about 1 km to a locked gate. You must have an annual permit to enter.
Available at the Municipal Service Centre, 35 Talbot St. in Blenheim, during
business hours.
