Hello everyone: This report comes on behalf of Keith Lee (Tiny).

What an amazing morning at the Constructed Wetland! As I entered I was greeted by the calls of many Marsh Wren (a good start). Killdeer (45+), American Black Ducks (2), Common Grackles, Osprey - Catfish is growing very fast and appears to be in good health. Another adult Osprey was flying about and one of the nesting pair drove it off, Red wing Blackbirds, Song Sparrow, many Spotted Sandpipers, many Moorhen and at least 10 babies, many Least Sandpipers, three Mallard families, many Lesser Yellowlegs, 8 Blue Wing Teal, Great Blue Heron, many Green Wing Teal, a Wood Duck family, Barn and Tree Swallows, 2 Solitary Sandpipers (found by Doug Mcrae), Kingfisher, Northern Harrier, 2 Short Billed Dowitchers, a Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Wilson's Snipe, a Black Capped Chickadee (the first I have seen here), a young Swamp Sparrow and Virginia Rails.

Once again a most pleasant outing to the Brighton Constructed Wetland. Thank you Tiny for your time!

Directions: The Constructed Wetland is located at the SE corner of
Brighton. From Hwy 401, take the Brighton exit 509 (Hwy. 30) and follow
it south into town. Go south through the two traffic lights, over
the railway tracks and follow the main road, now called Prince Edward
Street, south. About 1 km south of the tracks, the main road begins
to swing to the left and becomes Cty. Rd. 64. As this long turn
ends the Constructed Wetlands appear on the right side.
