VanWagners Beach and Ponds, Windermere Basin Saturday 8:30 a.m.- 12:00 noon, Saturday 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon Leader Brandon Holden (Saturday) Leader Stu Mackenzie (Sunday) NOTE: Please meet for all trips at Hutches Restaurant on VanWagners Beach Road - (in my email earlier this week I said Lakeland Community Centre for the afternoon trip). All trips will convene from Hutches. Fifty Point Conservation Area, Grimsby Sewage Lagoons Saturday 8:00 - 3:00 p.m. (all day trip) Sunday 8:00 - 12:00 p.m. Leader: Bob Curry & Dan Salisbury (Saturday) Leader: Dave Milsom (Sunday) Meet at the Lakeland Viewing Tower on Van Wagners Beach Road (its the new building on the beach, NW of Hutchs Restaurant, with a roofed observation tower). The group will then drive to the Fifty Point area, carpooling as much as possible. Woodland Cemetery, Hendrie Valley, LaSalle Park Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Leader: Rob Dobos Meet at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) Centre, 680 Plains Rd. W. in west Burlington; parking in the lot off Spring Gardens Rd. Shell Park Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Saturday 1:00 p.m - 3:30 p.m. Sunday 8:00 a.m - 12:00 noon (listed as an all day trip on Sunday, it is only 1/2 day) Leaders: Gavin Edmondstone, Mark Cranford (Saturday & Sunday a.m.) Leaders: Tom Crooks, Frank Morley (p.m.) Meet at the Shell Park parking lot in Oakville Dundas Hydro Ponds, Dundas Marsh (please note that this may involved difficult walking/wet conditions as per my earlier email) Saturday 8:00 a.m - 12:00 noon Saturday 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Leaders: Bob Stamp & Jim Heslop (Saturday morning) Leaders: Cheryl Edgecombe & Dave Don (Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning) Meet at the Olympic Arena on Olympic Drive in Dundas. Woodland Cemetery Hawkwatch Saturday 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Leader: Tom Thomas Meet at the Spring Gardens Rd parking lot in Woodland Cemetery. Seeing and Hearing Birdsong, Lakeland Centre Leader: Donald Kroodsma. Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 11 a.m. Details: Be at the Lakeland Centre on Van Wagners Beach by 9:00 a.m. (its the new building on the beach, NW of Hutchs Restaurant, with a roofed observation tower). Seating is limited, so those that arrive too late may not be able to be accommodated. Ends at 11:00 a.m. Thanks to all the leaders for making this event happen.
