Festival of Flight; There were few birders in the park May 4th because of
the wet weather.

   1. The Yellow-breasted Chat continues to be found at the first bench on
South Point Trail. The Chat can often be heard along this section of trail
singing quietly to itself. With patience it will often give glimpses and if
you are real lucky a full on view.
   2. The White-eyed Vireos continue to be seen on South Point Trail.
   3. The White-winged Dove continues at 17168 Lakeshore Rd.
   4. Prothonotary hasn't settled in yet but is occasionally sighted on
   Tulip Trail

While at Rondeau stop by the Visitors Centre for close up views of such
species as Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Orioles, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and
Tufted Titmouse. Carolina Wrens can be heard tea kettling through out the
park. The number of Red-headed Woodpeckers has diminished but there are
several sightings a day. Link to a complete list of birds known to be seen
in the park May 4th (83 species).
