You could test canadafreecalls.com, a service that we run. There's 50 c to 
start and test. It's asterisk based. We have a number of ATA users ( mainly for 
calls to Romania ) and didn't had complaints until now.

This freephoneline.ca looks interesting.  They appear to provide configs for 
ATA; but can this be made to work with Asterisk?

I found this was mentioned on this list before I joined.
