Well, as a matter of fact, that's what I've been doing... although for
the reason you cite, I have also posted a pageful of explanatory text
designed to soothe users' nerves and help walk them through the arcane
certificate-installation process which of course varies per browser.  I
still feel that it is ridiculous, and offensive, that such hoops must be
jumped through in order to achieve what is otherwise a mere blink of the
eye with things such as ssh.
