Try to find a llama at least 2 yrs old and get a gelding. make sure you have
just one. two or more and they won't protect the flock they will take care
of each other. My sheep follow him around (even the ram) and stay with him.
He even lets the lambs sleep on top of his back when they are resting in the
pasture. He is a little aloof with strangers but has never spit at anyone. I
worm him along with my horses every other month. Also check with breeders,
sometimes they will let them go very reasonable in the spring or may know
someone who isn't wanting them anymore. I found mine at the Ks. state fair
one year...Good luck
