I was reading your post to my husband. He said if it is a mother cougar with kits that she will gorge herself and reguritate it when she returns to her young to feed them. He doesn't think it could be coyotes or a bobcat. He said if it was a pack of coyotes you would definately hear them. He suggested that maybe you seek some help from your local conservation officer. He said it would be easy to trap a mama cougar with kits cause she would go anywhere she had to in order to get food for her young. He thinks that your local conservation office would be a good place to check. Just a thought. Sue
