Hi guys, I have 2 questions for you in areas I am still new in. I feed my sheep grass hay, their salt/mineral blocks and clean water, thats all. No grain, no treats, nothing else. They are butter balls and I know they should not be fat. I have 24 sheep, 22 ewes, 2 rams, how much hay a day should they be getting. I'm not real sure what is fat and what is fluff. I like the way they look, but I don't want lambing problems. Second question, my silly Australian Shepherd got himself blasted and rolled by one of the rams....(he wasn't watching very close to his work I'm afraid) Now he won't even go into the sheep barn with me. So, what are the chances of this dog working my sheep again, your best guess will do. He has in the past worked the ewes just fine, but the ram hasn't always been with the ewes. Maybe he will work the ewes again if the ram isn't in there? I hope this isn't permanent, I'm not sure I have the energy to break in another herding dog!! ;-) Any help will be appreciated. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving to you all, Sue Smith
