Hi,

Our Barbado ewe Freckles has a very cloudy eye. If
she were a dog, I would think it looks like a
cataract, but it came on way too fast. She was
squinting a bit on Tuesday my husband says, but she
dove into the grain for breakfast and it slipped his
mind. This morning, we noticed her 4 month old ewe
lamb Dot has yellow gooey eyes, so we caught her to
medicate with Terramycin. When we caught her, we
noticed Freckles was squinting really badly and her
eye didn't look quite right. So we caught her too, and
her eye looks really cloudy. The eye is tearing with
clear fluid, so it's not an infection (not yellow).
We treated her with Terramycin in both eyes, just in
case. Her other eye is red where our eyes are white.

What is this cloudiness? What should we do for her?
Does she need any antibiotics?

Thank you,
Marion
