However, I'm probably too early to be saying this, but I've found an intriguing product called "Equerrys Large Aniimal Probiotic." I've given them two rations of it in the feed. Tonight I caught the wether "in the act" and went to inspect, I nearly danced a jig. As a matter of fact, I think I did, because my husband was watching and he always likes confirmation of his suspicions that I am nuts. Anyway, it was almost real sheep pellets. A complete about face. A pasture walk revealed "nothing to worry about," that the guys are on the mend. I am thinking about Mary's wethers, and surprised to hear about yours, so I am cautiously optimistic. Maybe I need a probiotic for chronic worry.
But if I see these guys continue to improve, and after reading the info posted on Equerrys site about probiotics, this product is going in the daily feed for the rest of their lives. http://www.equerrys.com
I'm not going to give the product a wild endorsement at this early stage, but it's the ONLY thing that's changed. I'll update the progress - or lack of - next week.
Thanks again,
Barb
