What kind of co lustrum have you used. I have been keeping up with this as I
have a wether that is loose. I have done the vet thing and everything they
tell me to do does not work. I am keeping baking soda out for him and that is
all at this time. no more worming, meds, etc. I keep probios around for the
horses but have not given him any. I would like to try somthing that that is
not harsh on him. He eats well. drinks a lot. he is the barn buddy. the dogs
love him. the cats love him. the horses tolerate him enough he can get in their
feed with them. that I wish would stop but unless I cage him that wont happen.
he does not know he is a sheep so I jut let him run. he is happy and healthy
except pooping like a duck.

ps
i think ok is great. we do not have to worry about falling off into the ocean.
we do not have to worry about hurricanes and i sure no how to get out of the
way of a tornado. heck i am learning how to chase the darn things with our
emergency team. what fun, what fun.

I actually think I see some
improvement, but it's not measurable. I am just hoping that whatever
was in there was knocked out before it did permanent damage. The
digestive system is so fragile!

You have had so much free advice. Perhaps I can suggest some more. You may
have tried this. Sometimes I ahve tried sprinkling colustrum (freeze Dried)
on their feed. It has a beneficial effect and puts all the good fauna and
flora in the digestive tract. You could give it as a drench also, but if he
will eat grain or sweet feed, then I would mix some in with the feed. It has
helped a couple of my ewes that just would not get solid... I have one ewe
that just cannot get a solid stool. Always looks like a calf just passed
thru. Had a wether like that also. Nothing wrong with them, just did not get
pellets. Wether is gone, ewe has one lamb.
