I agree with you.. it forces lazy people to keep the discussion going...
but...

if, for whatever reason, i use a reply-to address... he list just knocks 
that out... kills it, gone, vanished. why? that's so lame.

also.. what if i want to send mail to the SENDER, and not the list?

i have to copy and paste their email address, whereas if the list 
doesn't modify the emial headers, i just use reply-to-all, and it will 
send the message to the list, and reply will send a message to the sender.

makes more sense.

if we could just find a way to save the senders reply-to address, AND 
make it easy to reply to everybody... we'd all be happy! :)
