no, I agree. "snap to window border" functionality assists the spatial recog abilities as we tend to be bad at it around the 3 pixel range. Especially if your background does not provide adequate contrast. It also makes the operation faster. I guess my main point was when it comes to window managers I am fine with them doing things intelligently but when I am the one performing the action they can just stay out of my way. That's just my opinion, I may be wrong.
