Look in the catalog under Applications. Is the top source (also called Applications) checked and is there a number to the left of the checkbox? If not select it and hit the rescan button the bottom.

If not I'd try deleting the caches or moving the App Support/ Quicksilver folder and recreating the prefs.

What version of QS on what OS?

Strange eh?

Have you tried restarting QS or rescanning the catalog (⌘R)?

The other day QS suddenly couldn't launch some of my applications.
When I search for Safari, all that is found is 'safari.app (catalog)'
which doesn't open safari, it just opens QS catalog pref pane. It's
doing this for about a half a dozen apps but not all. Very bizarre.

Here is a picture of a search for Safari:

Any thoughts on how to reset this?

Thanks,
