Could you in one summarized email explain the following? (nobody wants to go back and read an entire thread, but thinking about this thread, it seems to do with aRTS and GAIM). 1. What is the problem? 2. What is the workaround? 3. How does it affect the rest of the book? 4. Why is this just being noticed now? I know this is a hassle DJ, but to ask a question to the group, which if you're like me and the thread has no interest whatsoever, but then a "workaround" is being suggested, which is in some other email who knows when, it unlikely to get good responses. I've found that it's better to say: I'd like to do [insert workaround] because [messed up stuff], and the affect on the book is [describe]. Anyone see any issues with this? This way you can get meaningful responses. -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.27] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 20:14:00 up 30 days, 12:14, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.06, 0.09 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
