When trying to configure the new Xorg-7.5-2 the system remains locally unusable. The system seems to hang, but you can establish a remote connection. I found that the VMWARE-driver is responsible for the hang. Removing it manually from /usr/lib/X11/modules/drivers will fix the problem.
