Well that didn't take long. Hdparm is not for SATA at all. Interesting that hdparm -Tt /dev/sda still works. I wonder if it is still meaningful. Keen to see if performance is visibly increased. I built the scsi-sata option into the kernel so I can't "modinfo -p" it right now. Will look another time.
