I got it in 2005 and never had this problem till a few days ago. I haven't tried to run it without the battery yet. I did change some of Beyond Sight's settings in the power management area, but I did that about a year ago, so I don't think that would cause this silly message now. Beyond Sight puts their systems together, so the laptop has no name brand. These are created specifically for the blind and have no monitors. As long as this doesn't cause any other problems, it's no big deal. I just thought someone might have some idea of what might be going on.
