Hello You are right that you have to use system volume control for Eloquence and any other SAPI 4 voice like ATT Natural Voices. In fact though Natural Voices can install as both SAPI 4 and SAPI 5.
However I believe that if you are using one of the new SAPI 5 voices such as Real Speak I believe that you can change voice volume within Jaws in the way David F describes. Certainly I can do this in JAWS 8. This is probably what David F was referring to.
