I have AVG Internet Security. I like having automatic scan but as far as I can see you do the following to turn it off.
1. Open AVG Control Centre. You can do this with any screen reader by pressing Windows key + B to get into the System Tray. Cursor until you hear AVG Internet Security. Press enter to open the context menu and then select Control Centre. 2. Once in control centre keep on pressing tab until your screen reader says list view. 3. Cursor down until it says Schedule - Schedule a task 4. Press Tab once. You should hear Schedule Task button. 5. Press Space to open this button - enter does not appear to work here. 6. Press tab again until you hear list view and then cursor until you hear basic protection. 6. Now tab until you hear Edit Schedule button. 7. This will open the properties of your automatic scan. You can disable the features here that you do not like by pressing space to clear and insert check marks. 8. Ok out of the dialogue and close Control Centre. Hope this helps. Perhaps we can write off list and struggle together.
