Yes, it is completely free. I've been using it for about 5 years. I haven't 
liked the newer versions however, so I went back when I got my new computer 
and downloaded an old version. Version 2.2 from

www.oldversion.com

Again, the only difference between the free version and the one that costs, 
is that with the free version, you can only record 2 stations at once.
