I'm ridding my computer of windows defender because it appears to be a work
in progress and is difficult to deal with. I far prefer the
superantispyware pro that I installed awhile back. You can set it to
manually scan quicktime or full scan or custom scan on any schedule you
like. It is accessible and runs in the system try. It has been picking up
three or four things a day which go into the quarantine folder where they
reside until you decide to remove them or leave them there.  Just a thought;
someone else on one of these lists suggested it last month so I decided it
was worth a trial and then purchase to replace adaware that has become so
inaccessible.  marilyn
