hello Mike
thank you for reply
i did get help from David farron as well.
i did as both of you said but although it worked and the message goes to my inbox i deleted the wrong one.
reason is because they both had the same title on them
is there a way to bring back the deleted one?
or do i have to create a new rule for it.
in the meantime i can get on and delete the intended one.
this for the time being will revert to the fact that of 3 items taken to the t a f n folder only 1 remains.
this i don't want to remove so it can stay where it is.
but the other 2 1 is needed the other is not.
so can i undo the error? or do i start again with a new rule
once i get 3 messages i can forward them to you to experiment with
thank you
Yvonne

Hi Yvonne;

I'm sorry I heven't gotten back to you. To remove the message rule do the
following and all email for this rule will go back into your Inbox.
1. While in OE without any messages open press Alt + T, for tools, press the
letter r, for message rules, & press the letter M, for mail.
2. Now arrow up or down to the message rule you want to remove & highlight
it.
3. Tab to remove & press the spacebar.
4. A dialogue box will come up and Jaws will ask if you're sure you want to
remove this rule, press spacebar on yes.
5. Now, tab to the okay option & press enter.

Why don't we do this?! Forward me 1 of each of the emails, 1 personal & 1
from the "TAFN" list, & I'll see if there can be message rules created for
both that will do what you want. My email address is below.

mb69ma...@charter.net

Take care.
Mike

 hello David
 thank you for reply
before i do this can you confirm that all emails for the deleted rule will
 now go to the inbox?
if the answer to this is yes i will go ahead and remove the filter.
then i should be able to create from scratch.
the reason i need to do this is because everything to do with t a f n goes
to that folder including my personal email.
i want to prevent my personal email from going to the t a f n folder.
so if the answer is yes the messages for that rule will now go to the my
 inbox then that is fine
 thank you
 Yvonne
