Rick, Am I better off to stay with the 1.51 version then? Why did they stop the project?

I can't tell you what the difference is right off, but the CDEX project
was stopped before they even got the 1.7 version out of beta.

It works for me on a Windows 7 machine. I'm using version 1.51 but there is
a beta version out of 1.70. I have no clue what the difference is.

Hi Jo,
I have it working on 2 64-bit systems, but that doesn't mean it will work on
all.
I have found this to be the case with several programs.,
so at least give it a try.

Does that version of CDEX work on a 64 bit machine? Thanks.

Hi friends,
I'm looking for an easy to use Jaws friendly program to rip my music CD's
into my computer in the MP3 format. I'd like them left unprotected so I
can
use the MP3 gain program to even out the volume level on tracks that seam
to
be considerably softer or louder then most of the rest. I tried to use
Windows Media Player, but found that I couldn't find an option for ripping
them in in the MP3 format. They also came up as protected files stopping
me
from converting the .wma format into the .MP3 format. Basically all I need
the program for is the process of ripping. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
Brian
