Try this to make a user account shortcut on your desktop.
Go to your user account either by typing in, user account in the start menu or by going to the control panel.
After the user account is open, do a alt D to bring up the location.
Copy that to the clipboard.
Go to the desktop and make sure there isn't anything selected.
Press your applications key and arrow up to, new.
Press enter and down arrow to, shortcut and press enter.
Pate the clipboard into the edit field and tab to next.
I'm sure you can get it from here.

This never crossed my mind before, but after reading your message I took a
shot at it and so far no joy. Interesting dilemma, further thought needs to
be invoked or something.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Making a User Accounts Desktop Icon

I am trying to make a desktop icon for User Accounts. I always had this on
my desktop, but it is no longer there for some reason and I cannot figure
out a way to put it back there again. I cannot send the shortcut to the
desktop from either the file menu or applications menu, the latter which I
always was able to do. I can locate User Accounts in the Search Box and hear
it clearly, but does anybody have any idea how I can again make a desktop
shortcut for it? Where must I find User Accounts specifically in order to be
able to do this again?
Thanks very much for your help.
