I do recall something in the guidelines saying do not place list members'
names in the subject line. I really don't want to go up to the server right
now as it is time for bed so here's the deal.

Knock it off by morning or it will be time to begin removing violators, and
before breakfast is quite annoying. Just a word to the wise, please take
heed.

alright, both of my answers are "as far as I know", ok?

now then, most say that you must do a "clean install" which means using a
full install disk and wiping the drive totally before installing the new
operating system, and so far that has held true.

now then, as far as using the disk twice, as far as I know the answer is
both yes and no, you can probably get away with using the disk to install
windows 7 a second time, but... you will not be able to register it with the
key provided with the disk, and it will stop running in I think it's 30 days
if not registered with MS, so you can start the process but you will... need
to buy another key to run the second copy of windows

in example, I have a "clean OS installer file" which is windows 7 home
premium edition with no manufactures junk added in, its a full install file
but it will go south for the rest of your life if you don't have, or don't
get a valid license file number to feed it toot sweet!

take care,
inthane

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] FOR RANDY, UPGRADING FROM XP TO WINDOWS 7

I have two questions regarding this thread.
1. Must a person reformat a hard drive before converting from XP to 7?
2. If I have already purchased a version of Windows 7 which I have
installed on a laptop, can I use that same CD to upgrade my desktop or must
I buy another copy of Windows 7?
