You can use Winamp to save the file.
If I remember correctly you need to go to preferences and under output select the nullsoft dll. You won't hear anything when you start the song but it does save it to the folder the song originated in.
You'll need to change the output back to wave in order to play the file.
It's been a few years since I used this plugin so you'll have to do some experimenting.

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] Winam Plug-ins

Hi Diane, I've found it in winamp preference. Under plugins 5 things can be
found 1. Input, 2. Output, 3. visualisation then you'll find it in 4th
number . saying none after tabs you'll get it . I've used it and really it's
working. I want to ask from the list can we save the file in the condition
which we listen after removing vocal? I didn't find any option, if I save
it, it is saving original file.
Thanks

I have a tutorial from VIPconduit. I'll see what they say about it in there. Thanks much, Denny.

Boy, I'm still using Winamp 2.1 so I'm not sure where it would be in your
version.
It should be in preferences somewhere possibly under affects.
Sorry I can't help you more but I'm sure it's there somewhere.

I went to preferences and output. Vocal remove wasn't in there. I guess I should have asked, "Where do you put it?" When it installed, it put the
dll in program files and then inside plug-ins. It didn't show up in the
list. Hope that's a little clearer.
