I’ve never been able to get that to work. That is to say the actual synthesizer 
works but it won’t save my settings. I click Ok and nothing, and I mean 
literally nothing, happens. It just sits there on the configuration box.

Umm, you do know that there is an eloquence addon for NVDA, right,? If not, you 
now know that it was possibly NVDA with the Eloquence addon.
