Hmmm it would depend on the dev in question.
www.agarchive.net should have most of the devs excluding bavisoft and
a few others but most devs are at least indexed and you can get
downloaded game installers at least.
The first thing is to probably try to contact the dev, failing that,
since most if not all games to an extent are indexed on the audiogames
forum, contact one of their admins and ask if they have heard
anything.
If they can't reach it then, you can probably crack away, and even post it.
However its worth noting that this has only happened twice in gaming history.
1. bavisoft.
They disappeard and the only thing they ever did was state that don't
pirate our stuff.
The admins on audiogames.net did put out several public and private
communication attempts, but after that with no responce, they simply
changed status to unknown.
As long then as you are sure that the dev doesn't come back and yell
about his stuff then you probably can do whatever.
Then you have devs like codefactory that just bailed out of games.
The only 3 devs that actually allowed this are, bsc and danz, which
don't count as danz just released patches to remove their reg system
and bsc initially sold their keygen, then after they went away with
communication from the audiogames admins actually allowed the sharing
of their generator.
The only spaciffic time cracks were allowed where when pbgames titles
got cracked but were discontinued due to age.
In this reguard the dev allowed the cracks and the stuff was shared on
the audiogames archive.
What game is this exactly.
My first thing would to search the audiogames.net database and
agarchive.net because you probably have the solution.
If none of those work, the audiogames mod team may be able to see, of
course you should try to contact all ways the developer.
Unofficially there have probably been several devs dropping out on
record or off the record as the case may be but not everyone is on the
database.
