Hi, Will. Snip firstly it limits the customer base End snip
Actually, many game developers in the accessible game comunity are moving to surround sound, and 3D audio. It is not just James North. How about David Greenwood's Shades of Doom version 1.2. Are you going to call it crap to? Fact of the matter is if the blind gamers want to keep up with the changes they will need to do some upgrading to keep up with design trends in gaming. Snip hello? how can we use the mouse if we are blind? End snip Let me answer your qquestion with a question. Have you ever tried a joystick? Well, in games a mouse is no different than a joystick. A game developer can even limit the range of motion on a mouse to strait up and down, and left and right. I think you are confusing appplication navigation with a mouse to game navigation. Quite simply your fears are baseless. If you can play with joysticks in say SOD or Troopenum then you can use the mouse in those sorts of games as well. The only thing is it will take a little practice as the input is lightning fast. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo!
