Jewel, If I may I'd like to add a bit about" summer ice" My Father in law told me as kids, his Father had a country store and during the winter they took the horse down to the creek and with hand saws cut out chunks of ice and dragged them on a sled to an ice house built in the side of a hill. each lawyer of ice was packed in sawdust. Many times they had ice up to July of the following year. today the last walls of the original ice house still stand. I think of that as I push a button on my refrigerator / freezer unit and select ice cubes .in this day and age many of us are spoiled by the ease of living. Lee
