They don't have them now either. They have a tube that sticks out, and after
it's charged it's crimped off and soldered shut. Just like window air
conditioners. Kind of planned obsolescence.

  Damn bob,
I haven't seen charging ports on consumer fridges since humans walked
  upright.

You can always try the obvious tricks like running a vacuum cleaner across
the coils if they are exposed. Clean under and behind the grill to get rid
of any dog hair, cob webs and so on.

Usually if a fridge is running almost nonstop and it still isn't cooling
down it's a bad sign. It is losing Freon usually through the compressor.
You can replace a compressor, but that is a pretty expensive item. And most
people don't have the tools required. First you have to be able to solder
the new compressor back in the system. Then you have to have access to a
vacuum pump to evacuate the system. It will need to run in the area of 45
minutes minimum to get rid of any moisture that may have found its way in.
And that will happen just from humidity alone. But more so, because you
will have to let the existing Freon out. That will create condensation in
  the tubes.

If you can do all that, and have access to refrigeration gauges to refill
the system, then it might be worth a try.

We have a refrigerator that has a two foot by three foot freezer on top.
We have had it for about
22 years. The refrigerator and the freezer are not getting as cold as they
  used too. Also, it
seems to be running non stop. Is there something that we can do to remedy
  the problem? Or, is it
just time for us to go ahead and replace it? This is the first problem
that we have had out of it
  in 22 years.
