Larry, The noise canceling headphones you have, are they the kind with microphones that shut off when there is a loud sound? IE, you are actually hearing through microphones and speakers, but the microphones shut off at a certain threshold so you don't hear anything at all. Or do they just cancel certain frequencies?
I have a set of noise canceling headphones from Senheiser, I don't think they would do much for really loud sounds. They are really great on airplanes and in cars though. They are also kinda pricy, I think I paid about 125 bucks. However, they are pretty small and light, and a single double a batt lasts for ever. Like I said though, the aren't really designed for super loud noises. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Carnegie Mellon University. E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: (412) 268-9081
