I went to an outside bar-b-que thing once where someone had the brilliant idea 
to heat the baked beans in those big galvanized metal tubs.  No one died. :)  I 
did not participate in the experiment myself though.

  there sure would be a problem, galvanized steel is loaded with zinc. You'd
